CLEANR Named as 2026 CES Innovation Awards® Home Appliance Honoree
As CES® 2026 gets underway in Las Vegas this week, we’re proud to announce that CLEANR for Washing Machines has been named a CES Innovation Awards® 2026 Honoree for Home Appliances!
The CES Innovation Awards program, owned and produced by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)®, is an annual competition honoring outstanding design and engineering in 36 tech product categories. Industry expert judges, including members of the media, designers and engineers, reviewed a record 3,600+ submissions this year.
“Receiving this honor after less than a year in the market strongly validates our VORTX technology as one of the most effective filtering inventions on the market. CLEANR for Washing Machines offers consumers a breakthrough way to stop microplastics from clothing from polluting the environment. With this recognition, we hope to educate consumers on how they can take immediate action to protect our food and water supplies,” reflected Terry Moore, Executive Chairman at CLEANR.
Since launching on Earth Day 2025, CLEANR has:
Prevented over 60 billion microplastic particles from entering our waterways.
Scaled our pollution-reduction impacts by partnering with universities to educate students and enable campus-wide microplastic filtration. Case Western Reserve University has deployed 100 CLEANR filters and The University of Akron and the University of South Alabama have launched pilots that are currently ongoing.
Teamed up with organizations such as The 5 Gyres Institute, the Shaw Institute, 4Ocean, the Cleveland Water Alliance to support research-driven solutions and education initiativesaround microplastic pollution.
Worked with Scandinavian Water Technology AB to deploy CLEANR’s filtration technology for commercial laundry – extending our impact from residential to commercial use.
Been honored by Forbes magazine, which named our founders among the “30 Under 30” in Energy & Green Tech.
